WILL TENDER FOR AIAIL SERVICE.

Per Press Association. TAURANGA, Jan. 26,

Sir Charles Ivingsford Smith states that it was his intention to put in a tender for the English mail service this year. He said he would first tender to fly mails between Australia and England and then vice versa in a period of two weeks, with the ultimate object of cutting down the time to eight or ten days. S?r Charles met Mrs H. B. Hewett who claims to be the first certificated ladv .pilot in the world. She got her ticket in 1910.
