AUSTRALIANS PRAISE FASCISM
Two Australians who returned from abroad by the Or am a praised the Fascist regime in Italy. Mr J. Cuttle said that evidence of Mussolini’s excellent work was seen everywhere in Italy. Loyalist demonstrations showed the hold Fascism had. Italians were imbued with the ideal of honesty in all things. Fascism in its highest sense was being carried into the smallest corners of everyday life. Mr J. MacPhee, a retired Sydney accountant, who lived in Italy for some time, said that it was one of the best countries in the world. He had found the people law-abiding and hard working. As an example of the progress made under Fascist regime, areas which had been swamp for more than 2000 years were now being successfully reclaimed.
