AUSTRALIAN FRUIT.
NEW ZEALAND EMBARGO. FRESH NEGOTIATIONS. SYDNEY, Dec. 19. Representatives of exporters and shipping companies interviewed the, Federal Minister of Commerce, Mr F. H. Stewart, to-day in regard to the New Zealand embargo on Australian fruit and vegetables. Air Stewart later stated that fresh negotiations with New Zealand had been begun with tlie object of impressing on the Dominion Government that whatever action was taken against New Zealand produce was for reasons of public health. However, efforts were now being made to straighten out the difficulty. He would have a conference immediately with the Federal Alinister of Health, Air C. W. C. Alarr.
