FEILDING LOSE DIXON CUP AND TUCKER BADGES. A rink from the Levin Bowling Club (C. H. Pike, F. Langelan, W. Bull and P. Clements, skip) were successful in lifting the Dixon Cup and Tucker Badges from the Feilding Club on Saturday afternoon. The visitors, particularly the skip, played good bowls and held the lead all the way until the 18th head, when Feilding were one up. At the last head Feilding required two to tie, and obtained them, giving the opposing skip a difficult chance to get the game. Clements, however, rose to the occasion and played outstanding bowls, his last two shots drawing on to the jack after having to be played round the Feilding bou<s. Clements was warmly applauded for his splendid shots. The game thus ended : Feilding.—Way, Ramsay, Xeilson, Wenham (skip) 17 v. Pike, Langelan, Bull, Clements (skip) 21. At the conclusion of the game the trophies were presented to the Levin rink by Mr J. S. president of the Feilding Club, who warmly congratulated the visitors on their win.

MAXSON AND BARR CUP. The Levin Club presented a challenge to Manawatu for the Manson and Barr Cup on Saturday. the match being played under perfect conditions. The visitors commenced well by taking the initial bead and. with 3 111 at the succeeding heads, led 7 —o. The holders of the trophy opened their account with a 3 at the Cth. With the challengers leading 10 —3. the Manawatu skip burnt the 10th when lying 2-down, and on the replay Inglis pushed two front bowls into scoring positions, while Kershaw drew another. A 2 and a sing ; e further reduced the deficit and the 13th head saw the holders in front for the first occasion. A 4 at the 16th saw the tables again swing in Levin’s favour, but the issue was in doubt right to the final head, when a 3 gave the challengers the honours by 21 points to 18. The rinks were: —Levin (Pink, Mackay. Carter. Channing skip) 21 y. Manawatu (Hunter, Porter, Inglis, Kershaw skip) 18.

RIXKS TOURNEY AT PALMERSTOX XORTH GREEX.

A rinks tournament was plaved on the Palmerston North Club's green on Saturday afternoon, the first prize being a Christmas lamb generously donated by a member. Mr H. R. Green. Four games each of eight heads were played with the following result: —Ar. nott. 4 wins; J. H. Nash, 4 wins; J. 1. Xash. 3 wins. 1 loss; Ramsay, 3 wins, 1 !os=; Skoglund. 3 win-s. 1 loss: Simmons. 2 wins. 2 losses; Kerslake. 2 wins, 2 losses; G. Wibon, 2 wins, 2 losses: Bary, 2 wins, 2 losses; Brown. 1 win. 3 losses *, A. "Wilson, 1 ""in. 3 losses: Bayliss. 1 win, 3 losses; Crump, 4 losses; Fraser, 4 losses. In the play-off Aiken, Hopwood, Tremaine. T. L. Arnott (skip) b ea t Croad McLeod. McKegg, J. H. Nash (skip) by one point, the match being won by the final bowl of the game. The runners-up took the second prize given by the club.
