BRISK COMPETITION. PURCHASES FOR CONTINENT. NEW ZEALAND REALISATIONS. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received December 6, 11.10 a.m. LONDON, Dec. 5. At the wool sales 7548 bales were offered, including 2032 from New Zealand, and approximately 3000 bales 'woro sold. There was brisk Homo and Continental competition. The Continent took the bulk of the quantity sold. Puntas were five per cent, above the closing rate of tlfe last series.
Now Zealand realisations: Greasy halfbred, Natd/b, ll£d; crossbred, Waitio, top price 9jd, average Bid; halfbred lamb slipe, Pareora, 12f d; scoureds, HH/RD, top price ltd, average lCjfd.
The Bradford market is very firm, topmakers refusing to make concessions.
