TOURIST TRAFFIC.
Per Press Association. TIMARU, Dec. 5. A conference of representatives of numerous borough and county councils and South Island organisations interested in the tourist traffic was held at the Hermitage at the week-end. It was decided, to set up an executive committee, comprising Messrs R. S. Black, Mayor of Dunedin, W. B. Steel and W. Bardsley, also of Dunedin, to draw up a circular to be issued to local bodies and others interested, with a view to securing their co-operation in the establishment of a South Island Tourist League.
