WRESTLING MATCHES.
ASSOCIATION’S STRONG MEASURES. “That in view of the unsatisfactory reception given by patrons to certain disappointing professional bouts staged by this association, we decide to stage no further professional bouts until such time as we are assured of better matches, and meanwhile will concentrate on the furtherance of amateur wrestling.” Such was the text of a resolution passed at a recent meeting of the Manawatu Wrestling Association and it is one which will, without doubt, meet with the approval of the majority of wrestling enthusiasts locally.
