REPAIRING THE DAMAGE,

WAIROA, Oct. 12. The Wairoa Earthquake Relief Fund now totals £1268 18s 9d, including a donation of £6O from Messrs Sargood, Son and Ewen, of Wellington. Up to the present 2000 broken joints have been located on the low pressure water mains. A start is now being made on the work of overhauling the reticulation in the town area where it is expected the damage will be as heavy as on the former.
