Y.M.C.A. GYMNASTIC CARNIVAL.
Although in tho post tho carnivals featured by tho Palmerston North Y.M.C.A. havo earned a reputation far beyond the city's limits, this year’s event will mark a decided advance on what has gone before. Threo hundred and thirty young mon, ladies, boys and girls of our own city will take part in this popular annual event which is to be produced at the Opera House this Friday,. Saturday and Monday. To all those who love physical fitness, variety, grace, colour and laughter this spectacular entertainment can be strongly, recommended. The frocking of the ladies and girls in their various acts will surpass that of the past carnivals and will make brilliant settings long to bo remembered. Humour, too, there is in abundance. The band' of merrymakers of previous years will appear in a number of clever sketches, that will bo rib-crackers to Oven the most doleful. Tho varied items and sketches, the original costuming, coloured lighting effects, rhythmic music, all combine to make a spectacular - entertainment, that should bo seen and enjoyed by every citizen of this city. The box plan is now open to tho public at the central booking office and patrons are advised to book early for this popular annual fixture.
