WELLINGTON, Oct. 12. Congratulations on the success attained during the past year were extended to the Philatelic Society of New Zealand by Sir R. Heaton Rhodes, M.L.C., who presided at the annual meeting held last night. .The election of officers was as follows: Patron, His Excellency the Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe; president, Hon. Sir R. Heaton Rhodes, M.L.C.; vice-presidents, Sir H. Lindo Ferguson (Dunedin), Dr. H. M. Prims (Auckland), Dr. F. A. Bett (Nelson), Mr W. Ferguson (Wellington), Mr J. Currie (Wanganui); treasurer, Mr F. H. Jackson; exchange superintendent Mr S. E. W'hitehead; committee, Messrs P. C. Nyberg. M. J. Spierling, R. Nichol, H. T. M. Fathers. The appointment of ‘a secretary to succeed Mr P. R. Jackson, who retired from the position, was held over.
