MUSSOLINI.
INTERVIEWED BY AUSTRALIAN
Dr. H. M. Moran, of Sydney, who reached Melbourne a few days ago, after a tour of the Continent, said that Signor Mussolini was a simple, kindly man, neither arrogant nor aggressive. Mussolini had given him an interview, which lasted 20 minutes. He had been cordially received by Mussolini, who surprised him by his wide knowledge of the affairs of every country. It was apparent, however, that he was greatly overworked. Mussolini had only two forms of recreation, walking and motor cycling on a concrete road near Rome. He was often to be seen riding at a speed of more than 60 miles an hour, to the consternation of Government officials. Tire simplicity of the life led by Mussolini had been emulated by the people of Italy, and had resulted in the cultivation of home life and home responsibilities.
