BUILDING A RAILWAY THROUGH MOUNTAINOUS COUNTRY.—The construction of the Stratford railway has been a big job for the Public Works engineers when it is realised that this tunnel is only one of twenty-five which it has been necessary to build in the laying down of this long-awaited direct link with Taranaki.
