OBITUARY.
MR H. BOND. The death took place suddenly in Paimerstou North, at midday, of Mr Herbert Bond, a well-known farmer of ltangiotu. The deceased gentleman came to town this morning to consult his physician, and shortly afterwards was found dead in Messrs Bett and Bayly’s Building whither he had gone on business. t Mr Bond was prominent in Farmers’ Union matters tor many years past, and as a member of the executive of the Manawatu provincial district took a lively interest in all matters pertaining to the farmer’s welfare. He was treasurer of the Manawatu executive, and at the last Dominion Conference acted as a delegate. Mr Bond was chairman of directors of the )niuesse factory a.nd a well-known Shorthorn breeder. He also manifested a keen interest in all things that advanced the interests of ltangiotu.
Mr Bond’s doctor will give a certificate of death which, it is stated, was due to heart failure.
