LOSSES IN RECENT YEARS. PAYING INTEREST OUT OF CAPITAL. STEPS TAKEN BY CABINET. (United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received September 27, 9.25 a.m. BERLIN, Sept. 26. In announcing Cabinet’s decision to restrict tho agricultural imports, including fruit and butter, the quotas for which would bo fixed by negotiation, the Minister of Agriculture, Herr Braun, revealed that the industry in tho last three years had lost £60,000,000. At least 70 per cent, of the farmers were paying interest out or capital. , , . , , Cabinet has decided that the interest on mortgages be reduced in the next two years by 2 per cent, on condition that the money saved be repayable when tho mortgages fall due.
