RIFLE SHOOTING.
MANAWATU ASSOCIATIONS COMPETITIONS. The following are the results to hand of the ninth round of the Manawatu Miniature Rifle Association’s competitions, the next being the final round of the association’s cup matches. The results of both sections are very open this year, no team having a runaway victory with the exception of Aokautcro B, which has won the southern section in the B grade. There will. bo no section finals this year as tho sections will be kept separate. Tho date for tho championships has been altered to September 23 and teams are to shoot on September 22 as arranged. Both shoots will take place on tho Awahuri range. Following are the detailed results of tho ninth round:— A Grade.—Bulls beat Awahuri, 1102 — 1039; Sandon beat Bunnythorpc 1088—1051; Aokautcro beat Tokomaru 1072—1045; Longburn beat Moutoa 1082—1026.
