WESTERN AUSTRALIA.
AIOVING FOR SECESSION.
Received September 16, 9.40 a.m. CANBERRA, Sept. 16. In the House of Representatives, Air Gregory, of Western Australia, moved, a motion seeking a referendum on tiio question of granting Western Australia control for 25 years of its own Customs and excise duties.
Air Gregory later stated that he had received a telegram from tho Premier, Sir James Mitchell, that iie had sympathy with the motion, but he proposed moving for secession, which would include control of the Customs.
