CENTENARIAN’S DEATH.
Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Sept. 14. The death occurred at Christchurch to-day of Mrs Mary Campbell in her 101st year. The late Mrs Campbell, who was born in County Monaghan, Ulster, Ireland, came to New Zealand in the ship Conflict in 1875. She was a remarkable example of healthy old age and retained full use of her faculties to within a short time of her death. Mrs Campbell’s husband, Richard John Campbell, had fought throughout the Crimean War and was before Sebastopol. Ho died at tho age of 90 years.
