(From Our Own Correspondent.) BULLS, Sept. 12.

An inquest was held by the District Coroner, Mr F. C. Wilson, during the week-end into the circumstances surrounding the death of the youth, John McCullum, which occurred at Parcwanui on Saturday afternoon. Evidence of identification was given by Mr John McCullum, senr., of Wellington, the lad's father; also evidence by Mr W. It. Jamieson (the employer of deceased), S. L. Harris (who found the body), H. L. Harris (a neighbour) and Dr F. J. Watson (who was on the scene shortly after the mishap). The Coroner returned a verdict that the youth died instantaneously of a broken neck through a horse falling on him.
