FRIENDLY SOCIETIES.

COURT MANAWATU, A.O.F.

The fortnightly meeting of Court Manawatu, A.0.F., was held last evening in the Foresters’ Hall under the conductorship of C.R. Bro. Lane. Amongst the visitors present were D.C.R. Bro. Ward and D.S.B. Bro. Edwards. After the routine business had been dealt with, the D.C.R. presided and stated the object of their visit, -which was purely a fraternal one. The D.C.R. gave an interesting address on Forestry and district executive meetings, stating that the funds of Court Manawatu compared favourably with those of other courts in the district, and there promised to be a surplus in the near future. At the conclusion of the address several questions were asked and satisfactorily answered by the district officers, who were accorded a hearty vote of thanks.
