CANADIAN WHEAT.
FINANCING MARKETING. OTTAWA, Aug. 25. Representatives of the Dominion Government, prairie Governments, wheat pools and bank officials conferred on the financing of the marketing of this year’s wheat crop. It is understood that the Dominion Government is to guarantee the banks against loss on advances to the pools, with the Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta Governments waiving their first margin securities on current pool assets, similar to the credit guarantee plan on which last year’s crop was marketed.
