CHARGE OF THEFT.
Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Aug. 27. Waratann Renata Ngahana, an officer of the Nativo Department, was charged to-day with tho theft between October 11, 1926, and July 7, 1932, of £602 0s 6d, tho property of the Government. Ho was remanded till Wednesday. , , , , . It was stated that accused had given the police overy assistance, but there wero still some further investigations to ho made. Bail was allowed in £650.
