WEST END SCHOOL.
The fortnightly euchre party and dance conducted in the West End School last night as a means of raising funds attracted an excellent attendance of card and dancing enthusiasts, the gathering being held in the quadrangle. The early portion of the night was devoted to cards and an interesting competition found Messrs Zimmerman and Ryan tho first and second prize winners in men’s section and Miss Loveday and Mrs Trow in the ladies’ section. The floor was then cleared and dancing entered upon, Mr W. E. Schwabe being M.C. A waltzing competition was held and after an interesting contest between Mr B. Offsoski and Miss Motley and Mr Kjar and Mrs Goodwin, the judge (Mr Tabor) awarded the prize to the first named pair. An excellent supper was served by. tho ladies’ committee.
