POLICE RETICENT
Per Press Association. DUNEDIN. Aug. 2G. The police are extremely reticent as to the allegation by a girl (telegraphed yesterday) of assault and robbery in a George Street shop. They confirm the report that Dr. Falconer found no injury to the girl's head.
A previous message stated that the girl had passed through the door to the back premises of an office and on re-entering received a stunning blow on the head from a man, of whom she caught but a glimpse. it was two minutes before the girl had sufficiently recovered to report the affair. About £l9 was taken from the till.
