Galbraith, a former secretary of the Greyhound Coursing Association, when questioned about a £IOOO cheque drawn by his association for payment to a syndicate interested in procuring a license for tin lraro coursing at Cessnock, said that he remembered nothing about the cheque and denied that it was cashed into notes for the purpose of bribery.
