George Phalen, for 13 years confidential cierk to Jules Baciio and Company. a leading firm of Xew York brokers, called upon his managingdirector recently because his conscience troubled him after the then of £150,000. Phalen did not have a cent of this money left, and his employers were greatly puzzled to know what to do about him. Rhalen’s chief failing was to give tips of £2OO to night club ■singers. .Mr Bache had him arrested.
