SLAVERY NOT ABOLISHED. An estimate that there are between 4 ; 0(X),0(XJ and 0.000,000 slaves in the world to-day is made in a letter signed by the Archbishop of Canterbury and tiie Archbishop of York, and leaders of Free Churches. The letter refers to the 99th anniversary of the death of the famous anti-slavery protagonist, William Wilbeforce, and the signatories recall that next July will witness the centenary of the British decision to abolish slavery within the British possessions.
