BRITISH BY-ELECTION.
LONDON, July 27. Mr J. Banfiold, the successful candidate at the by-election for Wednesbury, in which the seat was won by Labour, in a speech following the declaration of the poll declared that no doubt a tremendous fillip had been given to Labour by tho people’s fear that the Ottawa Conference was going to result in taxation of wheat and meat.
