DEATH IN LONELY HOUSE.
SAD OCCURRENCE AT ROTORUA
Per Press Association. ROTORUA, June 30. Death in a lonely house on the shores of Lake Roto Ehu overtook Mrs Muriel Ida Angell, sometime between 8.30 a.m. on Saturday and 5.30 p.m. on Wednesday evening. Her little daughter, aged 2i years, was found asleep beside her.
AVhen her husband made the tragic discovery on Wednesday evening the child was well, but evidently had been crying and had not been able to obtain food. The child was too young to be able to tell the sa.d tale of the lonely death which had overtaken her unfortunate mother. When discovered by her husband, Mrs Angell was lying upon a bed fully dressed. The body disclosed no signs of violence. The husband had left home at 8.30 on Saturday morning and did not return until after dark on Wednesday. The house is situated in a very lonely spot on the shores of Lake Roto Ehu, the nea-rest neighbour being three miles away, which probably . accounts for the death remaining undiscovered. The police are investigating the matter.
