MEN WORKING IN CAMPS.
Per Pr*sß Association. WELLINGTON, June 26. The total number of men working in single men’s camps under the direction of the Unemployment Board was 1184 at June 11, according to an official return. It is also announced that the board in conjunction with the Forestry Department had opened an afforestation camp near Rotorua. There were vacancies for 60 men and 20 men applied in Wellington for positions on Saturday. It is expected that eight men will leave shortly for the Waimihi camp near Taumarunui and 30 are to leave this week for Owhanga in the King Country.
