PING-PONG.
NORTHERN CLUB. In order to provide winter entertainment for members, the Northern Bowling, Tennis and Croquet Club recently formed a ping pong section and the support received from members and well-wishers has been most gratifying to the entertainment committee, for already tho section has a membership of forty. Two tables are at present in use and with tho increasing membership it appears as though further equipment will have to be provided. All members are very keen and the standard of play has improved considerably since the section was fprmed. A series of competitions is being provided and aFa later date it is hoped that inter-club matches can be arranged. The club pavilion is very suitable for ping pong as ample space is available and tho lighting arrangements are excellent.
