VITAL PROBLEMS
WAR DEBTS AND REPARATIONS. FRENCH ATTITUDE. M. HERRIOT INTERVIEWED. (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph.—Coypright.) PARIS, May 18. In an exclusive interview with the British United Press, M. Herriot declared that no reduction of Germany’s reparations was possible unless America and Britain agreed to equivalent reductions in the war debt payments to them.
With regard to armaments, M. H er_ riot emphasised that reduction was dependent on security. He urged the organisation of an international armed force.
There thus appears to be no change in Franco's attitude on these two vital issues.
