LOCAL BODY LOANS
Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, May 7. At a meeting of the Local Government Loans Board, 27 applications for loans totalling £343,430 wore, dealt with. Loans amounting to £242,830 ■wore sanctioned, including £232,980 for renewal and £9850 for new' loans. On tho balance of £102,600, £100,600 was declined, and £2OOO was referred back to the local authority for further consideration.
