HOCKEY REFEREES. Air A. H. Packer was in the chair at the annual meeting of tho Feikling Hockey Referees’ Association on Tuesday evening. It was reported that the membership had increased and that all referees had carried out their duties' capably. From time to time meetings of referees from all parts of the district had been held and uniform decisions arrived at. Tho following officers were elected :—Patron, Mr F. E. Moore; president, Mr A. H. Packer; vice-president, Air J. V. Wallis; lion, secretary and treasurer, Mr E. A. Garlick : appointment committee, Alessrs A. H. Pucker, J. V. AVallis and E. A. Garlick. The games and referees for to-mor-row are:—At Carnarvon, 2 p.m.: H.S. O.G. v. Carnarvon (Alessrs Chesterfield and AlcKenzie) ; 3 p.m., Wanderers v. Carnarvon (Alessrs AlcKenzie and Chesterfield). At Feilding, 2 p.m.: Colyton v. Hinekon (Messrs Knight, and Garlick); 3 p.m., Colyton v. Pirates (Alessrs Sporle and Ross). NOTES. Tho Oroua Bowling Club will close its green to-morrow week. To-morrow the club competitions will be finalised and for tho following Saturday, a full rink tournament has been decided upon. Rinks from the Feilding Club will take part in the play. The following candidates have been chosen for the queen carnival of tho Feilding Alunicipal Band: Band candidate, Aliss Alay Prior; retailers Miss Gwen Jones; country, Aliss Lottie Baker. Votes for the candidates were fixed at 3d each. Or D. L. Younger, of Cinder Hill, will not bo seeking re-olection to the Kiwitoa County Council at the forthcoming county elections. At last night’s- meeting of the committee of the Feilding Golf Club, 12 new members were elected.
