FEILDING STOCK SALE.
KEEN COMPETITION FOE LAMBS. Although there was an exceptionally heavy yarding of lambs at the Feilding sale to-day, keen competition among the freezing works buyers kept values at a high level, prices advancing on last week. Dairy cows sold well, but for heifers the demand was slack. Prices up to one o’clock were as follow : Sheep.—Eat lambs, 11s 3d, l_s 9d, 13s lOd, 14s sd, 15s 6d, 16s 3d, 17s 7d 18s 6d, 19s 6d, 20s 7d to 225. No ewes or wethers had been sold up to one o’clock. . Cattle. —Springing cows, £4 zs od, £5 15s, £6 5s to £7; Juiy-August calvers, £2 17s 6d to £3 ss; heilers in milk, £5 to £5 10s; cows in milk, £1 15s.
