IN BANKRUPTCY.
JEAVELLER’S POSITION. Per Press Association. AVELLINGTON, April 21. A meeting of creditors was held today in the estate of Victor Brownson, a jeweller. Bankrupt’s statement showed that he had entered into a composition with his creditors in February, 1931, and the Official Assignee pointed out that only the creditors of Brownson personally had a right at the meeting. Several creditors withdrew and there was no quorum. Brownson’s statement said he had been carrying on the AVillis Street business as manager at £3 10s a week. The Official Assignee said the assignment had been found to be in order. He suggested that bankrupt might make some offer. He might pay less in board and so have something for his creditors.
The unsecured creditors were set down at £lO5 and the assets were nil. The meeting was adjourned sine die.
