ECONOMIES BILL
COALITION CAUCUS. PRIME MINISTER’S STATEMENT. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, April 20. A Caucus of the Coalition Party was held' this morning to discuss the anomalies in the National Expenditure Adjustment Bill, especially in reference to wage cuts. Tlie Prime Minister stated subsequently that urgency would be aske|d for when the House met this afternoon, hut it was not proposed to go past Section one of the Bill (dealing with the Public Service salary reductions). He intimated that a Governor’s message would be introduced early this afternoon, giving effect to various amendments, which, although important, would not materially alter the rate of the reduction.
