Beautiful weather favoured the return match between the Whakarongo and Kairanga tennis teams at Whakarongo on Saturday; Some good games wero played and a dainty afternoon tea was partaken. Whakarongo succeeded in winning. The results are as follow, the Whakarongo team being mentioned first. —Ladies’ singles: Mrs Sly boat Miss Martin 7—l, 0. Vautier beat Mies E. Green 7—3, M. Vautier beat Miss O. Green 7—4, Mrs Eggors beat Miss Eglint.on 7—3. Men’s singles: L. Little beat L. Lancaster 7—4, S. Oxenham beat W. Cook 7—6, W. Vautier lost to G. Davcy 4 —7, L. Harrowfield lost to I. Davcy 2 —7. Ladies’ doubles: Mrs Sly and Miss M. Vautier beat Misses Martin and E. Green 7 —l, Mi s Vautier and Mrs Eggers beat Misses O. Green and J. Eglinton 7—l. Men’s doubles: Little and Oxenham beat Lancaster and Cook 7—6, Vautier and Hnrrowfiold lost to Davey and Davey I—7. Mixed doubles: Oxenham and Mrs Sly lost to Lancaster and Miss Martin 2—7. Littlo and Miss V. Vautier beat Cook and Miss Green 7 —4, Vautier and Miss M. Vautier boat I. Davey and Miss Green 7 —4, Harrowfiold and Mrs Eggors lost to G. Davey and Miss Eglinton 6—7.
