The Auckland Social Workers’ Association, at the anuual meeting, passed a resolution viewing with the gravest misgivings the nbolition of compulsory arbitration and the proposed reduction of old-age pensions. Another resolution states that, viewing the position from the moral and domestic side, the social workers enter a solemn protest at the establishment of any relief work for married men, especially those with children, which necessitates the separation of the worker from his family.
