FOOTBALL CLUB. (From Our Own Correspondent.) RONGOTEA, April 6. The annual meeting of the Rongotoa Football Club was held in tho board room this evening. Thcro was a largo and very enthusiastic attendance. The president, Mr N. H. Knight, occupied the chair. Tho secretary road tho report and balancesheet and theso were adopted. Mr Knight expressed his pleasuro at tho very satisfactory balance in hand, and briefly referred to tho harmonious working in all tho club’s activities. Mr Morcom also congratulated tho club on its sound position, and tho services ronderod by the president during tho past year. The annual report stated: “As usual, tho membership was very good, enabling tho club to enter two teams in tho competition, senior and junior. At tho commencement of tho season neithor team met with much success, duo to lack of practice. However,' as tho season advanced, tho players improved and at tho end of tho soason both teams wero hard to beat. Evidenco of this was given by tho seniors, who won the Fagan Cup, while tho juniors wero runnersup in tho junior competition. All members intending to play this season should commence training as soon as possible, and so bo fit when tho season opens. Sovoral senior and junior players gained representative honours. Tho annual ball was tho only danco conducted by the club and this function proved very successful. Thanks aro especially due to tho ladies’ committeo, whose untiring efforts contributed so largely to the success and popularity of the function. Thu club is in a very sound financial position, having a credit balance of £27 15s Id, an incroaso of £ll 3s 2d over last season. When we tako into consideration tho present expression, and scarcity of money, it is indeed encouraging to everyone. The thanks of the club for financial support aro due to Messrs J. McKelvio, L. Poupard, W. Davison, A. Burgess, N. H. Knight, F. C. Burgoss and A. N. Morcom; Mr N. H. Knight for donating a football to tho club, to Mr W. H. Skinner for donating a football outfit; to all thoso who lent their cars for tho convoyanco of players, to tho coaches of each team, who devoted time to travelling, and also training of the respective teams; also to tho delegates who represented tho club at union meetings. The committeo wish to tako tho opportunity of thanking the players for their co-operation, and hope tho same support will bo accorded the incoming committee. We‘sincerely trust that the Rongotea Football Club will enjoy a most successful season during 1932.” It was decided to carry on with senior and junior teams. Tho election of officers resulted as follows : Patron, Mr A. Burgoss; president, Mr Knight (re-elected); vice-presidents, Dr.Watson, Messrs A. Gust, L. H. Knight, C. Ciochotto, F. C. Burgess, A. N. Morcom, G. Goldfinch, L. Poupard, J. McKclvie, W. Davison, L. H. Yarrall, A. Trenkner, B. Flynn, M. P. Dixon; secretary and treasurer, Mr C. Burgess; management committee, Messrs N. H. Knight, tho secretary, tho club captain and the captains of teams; club captain, Mr G. Goldfinch; delegates to union, Messrs A. Burgess, N. Knight, W. Davison, Goldfinch, Trenchncr and. Morcom; selection committee, Messrs W. Gust, D. Knight and secretary. Tho subscription is to be seniors ss, juniors 4s. Tho mceting_ closed with a voto of thanks to the chair.

Mr A. N. Morcom, of Ivopane, has a grade Friesian cow of outstanding merit. It produced 951bs of fat in October, lOOlbs in November and 721bs in December, and has a total of 299 lbs fat in 100 days on herd test.
