Entries for all sections at the Marton District A. and P. Association’s annual 3how on the Marton Park next Wednesday have dosed and a generous response has been .received from all breeders in horses, cattle, sheep, pigs and dogs. In the sheep section there are 256 pens of purebred sheep and fat lambs and sheep, whilst in the cattle edition there are 89 entries, in which Jerseys and grade . Jerseys take a vory prominent position. The calf-rearing competition attracted an entry of 24 calves. Pigs will form a big attraction at the show, purebred Tamworths, Berkshires, Large Blacks and Whites and baconers requiring 103 pens' and most of the leading breeders will bo represented. Sheep dogs have drawn an entry of twonty-feur. Ponies and light horses are up to tho usual standard, with several thoroughbreds and fair competition in tho draughts "classes. Tho competitions, as usual have attracted good fields, tho pony and hunters’ jumping competition comprising some of the best jumpers on tho coast. Tho home industries ana sewing and art needlework classes have filled well, and the public school section has been well patronised by the schools in the district, there being 248 entries. Entries for tho fruit and vegetables are post entry and will bo received at St. Andrew’s Hall on tho morning of the show up til] 9 o'clock.
