Tlie first of the long range series was completed during the week when G. Corkill had the best card for the day, the following cards being returned C. Corkill, 42at 800yds, 39 at 900 yards, total 81; H. G. Byers, 39—39 78 : F. R. Lewis, 40—36—76 ; J. Griffiths, 42—24—66; H. Southee, 23 —41—64; H. Barlow, 33—29—62; I. Ranford, 34—23—57; R. W. Ramsay, 29—26—55; For the Pickering Cup series over the 300,_ 500 and 600 yards ranges F. R. Lewis proved the winner for the second year in succession. The conditions were the best four of six shoots at each range, details being as follow: F. R. Lewis 521; H. Barlow, 518; J. Griffiths, 513; R. W. Ramsay, 510; C. Corkill. 40P ; .T. McManus, 486; L G. Byers," 481; A. Leyland, 457; H. Southee, 438.
