The Government would to their, utmost exert themselves to secure the largest possible measure of disarmament. : •
Addressing the Archbishop of York, His Majesty emphasised the Church’s opportunity to bring the truths , of Christianity to bear upon current problems. The fortitude of the British in the face of difficulties had shown, -the world that the spirit of unity and mutual sacrifice still lived.
