KAIRANGA SCHOOL.
SUCCESSFUL PICNIC HELD. A very enjoyable outing was the annual picnic of the Kairanga School, held amid the beautiful surroundings of the Manawatu ltacing Club at Awapuni, on Wednesday. In spite of threatening weather the day improved as it went on and by mid-day a glorious sun was shining. A large number of parents and friends gathered and spent a happy time in a varied sports programme and games. At a suitable time, Mr Y'. W. Vcrry, chairman of the committee, moved a hearty vote of thanks to the Racing Club for the use of the grounds, to donors of trophies, and to all who had assisted to make the day a success.
