HOROWHENUA BOARD’S MEETING, Tho monthly meeting of the Horowlienua Electric Power Board Was held in Levin this week, • there being present: Messrs G. A. Monk (chair-1 man), Seifert, Petherick, Blenkhorh,Hyde, Morse, Bryant, Vincent .arid Barber, Mr Ramsay (secretary and treasurer) and Mr Smith (engineer). The following statement of revenue earned for tho ten months "of the current financial year to January read-: ing, with the figures of the, same period of the preceding year for compari-, son, was presented by the treasurer :—:
32,523 33,332 809 t “Increase. fDetrease. In moving the adoption of the report, the chairman said that the position revealed was very much as it was last month. Whether the restoration of some of the flaxmilling would help the power position would remain to be seen during the rest of this quarter. It was very satisfactory from the board’s and the district’s point of view that some of tho mills had been able to make a start. With regard to tho slight increase in the accounts outstanding, lie presumed that this was the effect of the holiday season. The motion was seconded by Mr Seifert, and carried.
