(From Our Own Correspondent.) ;ASHHiptST, Feb. 18. : very enjoyable afternoon was spent on the Ashhurst tennis courts on Wednesday last, when-a friendly match was played with Raumai. The following are the results, Ashburtt players being named first:— ‘.'Men’s singles.—J. Brewer lost, to W. Smart, 3—7; N. Brewer lost to R. Smart, 2—7; P. Reardon beat K. Innes, 7—l; W. Brewer beat N. Moar, 7—5. Ladies’ singles.—Miss Read lost to Miss Leamy, 3 —6; Miss Hickey boat Mrs Moar, 6 Miss Nesdale beat Mrs Innes, 6—l; Miss-Brewer lost to Miss Smart, 3—6. Men’s doubles.—Borrett and N. Brewer beat W. and R. Smart, 7—3; Reardon and W. Brewer beat K. Innes and N. Moar, 7-
Ladies’ doubles.—Misses Read and Hickey beat Miss Leamy and Mrs Moar, 6—2; Misses Nesdale and Brewer beat Mias Smart and Mrs Innes, 6—4. Mixed doubles.—Miss Read and Barrett lost to Mia# Leamy and W. Smart, 5—7; Miss Hickey and N. Brewer beat Mrs Moar and R. Smart, 7—2; Miss Nesdale and Reardon ‘beat Mrs limes and Innes, 7—3; Misis Brewer and W.
