CUBA STREET CHURCH.
MUSICAL SERVICE
A special musical service was held in the Cuba Street Methodist Church last evening, when Rev. J. D. McArthur occupied the pulpit. The hymns were specially chosen and being well-known and set to the better known tunes. During the service Miss R. Birch sang as a soprano solo, “Thank God For a Garden” and was sympathetically accompanied on the harp by Mrs Murdoch. Mr A. Sundborn rendered as two guitar solos, prior to the closing hymn, “Jesu. Lover of my Soul” and “Nearer my God to Thee."’ The instrumental selections were an innovation at the church.
