MANAWATU SPEEDWAY.
TRACK IN PERFECT ORDER,
There is promise of a first-class . speedway meeting at the Showgrounds on Wednesday night, the boys being in good form and the track in first-class order. The management has been to a g'cat deal of trouble to mako the going as good as possible. A road grader has been put over the course and all tho cinders screened. Finally a 15 ton 3 roller was used to roll the track down. Howard Tolley is now' the owner of one of tho fastest bicycles in New Zealand, and much is expected of him. Gower did well in Wellington recently and is riding again to-day. His progress at Kilbirnie will be watchod with interest. Whittle is also going well and of tho other riders, Vining has a new bicycle. All roads will lead to tho Palmerston North Showgrounds on Wednesday night when a record crow'd is expected.
