HAZARDOUS LANDING.
While attempting to land in the main street of Dingo, Queensland, where he had flown to attend a civic reception, Mr Victor Rofiey, who recently flew to Queensland from New Caledonia, struck a motor car and a post, slightly damaging his machine. Neither the pilot nor his .father;, who accompanied him, was injured. _ There were about 100 people in the main street, and the only lan onr? place available was a space or 20U vards, with trees and other obstacles in it. Mr Roffev swooped down as though to land, a'nd then rose again and swung round before descending. In attempting to avoid two trees and a car, he struck the car, swung round sharply, and brought the left wing in contact with some gateposts. Ihe only damage was a broken strut.
