ALLEGED OFFENCES.
Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Dec. 3. A charge of attempted murder was preferred against Gertrude AtcOnaghey, a domestic servant, aged 27, before Air Alosley, S.AI. The woman was also charged with attempting to commit suicide on November 26. Accused was remanded until December without bail.
The woman appeared on a charge of attempted suicide last Thursday, when the police stated that she had jumped into The river Avon with a child,- Alervyn AlcOnaghey, in her arms.
