FUTURE OF BURMA.
CONFERENCE IN LONDON. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Dec. 2. The work of the Burmese Round Table Conference began to-day at St. James’s Palace under the chairmanship of Lord Peel.
The King’s reply to the loyal message sent by the inaugural meeting last week, expressing His Majesty’s earnest hope that the deliberations on which the delegates were now embarking would be brought to a successful issue, was read by the chairman. There followed a general debate, which will be continued to-morrow, and on Monday the conference will resolve itself into committees for the purpose of a detailed examination of the various problems.
